Gerard D. Haderlein is a fourth generation member of the Haderlein Family of Lakeview in Chicago, Illinois. The Haderlein family has been involved in Real Estate, Law, Politics, and Community Service in the Lakeview neighborhood for over 100 years.

Gerard D. Haderlein attended college and Law School at DePaul University here in Chicago. He graduated with honors in Accounting in 1979 and from Law School in 1982. Mr. Haderlein was President of the DePaul Student Government Association and Vice-President of the DePaul Student Bar Association.

Upon graduation from Law School, after clerking for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Legal Aid Bureau of Chicago, Mr. Haderlein started his own law firm at his present location at 3413 N. Paulina Street, adjacent to the Paulina Station of the CTA Brown Line.

Mr. Haderlein is pleased to have served thousands of clients for the past twenty-five years in the practice of law. Mr. Haderlein is happy to serve clients from all over the City and Suburbs and takes special pride in serving first generation clients from almost every corner of the world.

Mr. Haderlein specializes in the transaction of Real Estate and related issues. In addition, he performs Estate Planning and Probates cases. His Income Tax practice is a direct off shoot of the income tax practice begun by his Grandfather , John Haderlein, who as a former IRS agent, started a community based Income Tax practice in the 1930′s. His knowledge of Criminal law, learned while clerking for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, has helped him navigate many misdemeanor and D.U.I. cases over his years of practice.

Mr. Haderlein is a member of the Illiinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and is a shareholder of Attorney’s Title Guaranty Fund, Inc., as well as a member of ATG Trust Company located in Chicago. Mr. Haderlein has written articles on the law which have appeared in local publications and has lectured young lawyers and law students on the subject of handling real estate transactions.

Mr Haderlein is a past President of the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of the Board of the Lakeview YMCA, past Board member of the Lakeview Neighborhood Development Corporation, and is proud to have led a coalition of leaders who were instrumental in the redevelopment of the Commercial District near Lincoln, Belmont and Ashland Avenues.

Mr. Haderlein is active in the Catholic Church and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He serves as a coach for youth sports in Park Ridge, Illinois. He is Married and a proud father of five children.
